This is a 1940s cerulean blue floral print Kimono in a fine drapy rayon. This piece is made in Japan, but it Is more a robe than a traditional kimono, so it would have been geared towards the tourist market.
The wonderful and detailed floral print features cascades of chrysanthemum and cherry blossom, which form a striking picture print on the back of the robe. The sleeves have a traditional square kimono cut, and a long squared off lapel.

If it ever had a belt, there are no belt loops on the garment to suggest so, but given the lovely light nature of the garment it would look amazing worn open over an outfit regardless.

The condition of the kimono is very good. There are no major holes or damage to the fabric, no snags or pulls, and the print remains crisp and true in colour.
There is one very small hole, please see last photo.
There are no noticeable stains or marks, but there is some shadowing to the blue if you hold it up to the light. This really only adds to the lovely antique feel to the robe.

Size, would fit a size 6-14
