This is a pristine cream strawcloth drawstring bag from the 1950s adorned with shell appliqués and raffia. The stiffness of the cloth creates a dramatic ruched effect at the top when the string is drawn and the shells add a romantic vintage holiday feel.
The interior of the bag is matching cream cotton.
Condition is excellent with no stains on the strawcloth and no missing shells. Only very minor fraying to the raffia embroidery.
