This is an original hand made 1930s black silk velvet jacket with an elaborate border appliqué of beaded flowers at the front, forming a garland around the hips.
The scooped cut is complimented by a collarless neckline and a ball fastening of multicoloured glass stones, which is wonderful in its own rite.
The sleeves are gathered at the shoulder. The back of the jacket is plain and without embellishments.
The condition of this jacket is excellent. There are no holes in the velvet and no fading or stains.
There are no losses to the beading, and the colours are still vivid and vibrant.
The silk lining is strong with no shredding, holes, tears, or discrepancies.
