This is an exceptional 1960s real crocodile handbag with a very stylish modernist handle in gilt brass which has a brown enamelled finish.
The two tone crocodile body of the bag features a central ridge of outstanding epidermals which is uniquely different each side of the bag. The aerodynamic winged frame opens to a brown leather interior with two satin lined pockets, one with zip. Gold metallic trim edges all the features inside. And there is a label attached with logo and “genuine crocodile skin” written in cursive gold script.
Condition is excellent. Crocodile hide is supple and in good lustrous condition, with no splits or cracks. Gussets are in good order. The frame of the bag is very good. No tarnish to the brass, brown enamelling showing only minor wear with very few scuffs. Latch is in good smooth working order. Clasp holds tight. Interior is very good. Zip working smoothly. No pen marks, scratches or stains.
