This is an unusual vintage 1950s small handbag featuring an antique finish rhodium plastic embossed case in a chrome steel frame. The decorative panel, which is the same each side, has highly detailed ornament with a large rose feature in the central part. The handle is a glitter twist lucite on chrome tulip casements.
Inside there is a peach-tone satin lining with two compartments either side of a metal zip pocket.
Condition is very good. The decorative fronts are all intact and not scratched or cracked. The handle, which is hand formed is not an even arc, and it’s hard to say if this is intentional or not, but the fittings seem to accomodate the quirk with no awkwardness to the handling of the purse. The zip works well, and the interior is excellent.
