This is a beautifully fine Moroccan flocked kaftan from the 1960s which features an intricate border of gold embroidered paisleys and floral motifs. The design features front and back and also along the sleeves and sides.
There are rows of gold woven ball shaped buttons with corresponding loops. They are featured not only down the whole length at the front, but also along the sleeves and also the side splits. A gold piped edge adds a further finish to this extravagant garment.
the sleeves are a wide flared cut and there is a naru collar. Lining is black satin.
The condition of the kaftan is very good, with no noticeable holes or marks to the garment. There are no losses to the embroidery, and the threads are crisp and intact. There is one missing button at one of the side splits.
