This is a stunning black velvet vintage evening purse from India with an intricate decoration of embroidered gold bullion thread, dull gold sequins, seed beads and rhinestones. This large size purse has a generous wrist strap with a beaded and rhinestone stripe, and a drawstring of gold cord with two beaded disc ends.
Inside there is a lining of black silk. There is no zip, as the drawstring serves as the closure.
The condition of the bag is very good indeed. There is a tiny section where three of four seed beads are missing with no risk of further shedding, and there is a missing rhinestone from its claw setting. The lining is in excellent condition, and the black velvet is very plush and unmarked.
