This is a truly iconic design in the Jenny Kee design portfolio, from the very early 1980s. It is an early piece bearing the original FLAMINGO PARK label and at a time when Jan Ayres was in-house knitter extraordinaire.
The Blinky Bill pattern was made iconic particularly because it was the pattern of choice when a young Princess Diana sported a jumper by Jenny Kee.
This particular piece is the cotton (possibly cotton and silk blend) knit version of the same design, from the same era, but in a summer sleeveless top.
The colours are also unusual, featuring a bright coral pink koala, brown tree, and sky blue background. The back of the knit features a stylised gum tree with a map of Australia, a sun, and perhaps some spots of golden wattle for good measure.
Condition is excellent. There are no runs, holes or snags. And no pilling. Colours are vibrant and true.
The all important Flamingo Park tag (which dates this piece so wonderfully) is in good order.
Size would fit a size 6-10 ideally. But does offer some stretch.
Width, measured across the top, end to end 58cm

Length, measured shoulder to waistband 60cm
