This is a rare and exceptional 1970s (or late 1960s) belt by the iconic Paco Rabanne, and a great example of futuristic fashion.
It features large oval interlocking silver tone steel plates and an extra large buckle with the stylised R within the P logo.
The back of the buckle has two nobs which hook into the corresponding holes within the segments.
These nobs can be positioned to the desired size on any of the plates.
As with many of Paco Rabanne metal pieces, they were designed to be customised by adding or removing segments to suit, so plates could be removed on this belt if so desired.
The condition of this piece is excellent, there are minimal signs of wear, with no noticeable scratches or tarnishing to the chrome. The links are secure and sturdy.
Length of belt 83cm (at largest fitting).
Buckle 7cm x 7cm
